        Verdict

        Red Alert could only manage fourth bidding for a hat-trick at Brighton and finished behind Porfin. Both step back up in trip for this while EMBARKED moves in the opposite direction having returned a beaten favourite over a mile. But the latter had gone close over today’s trip before that so gets another chance. Bomb Squad placed yet again when second at Newcastle while Aihawawi was narrowly beaten when last seen over track and trip back in April.
