MUGAZALA hasn't been seen since a debut third at Newmarket in August last year. The first and second in that maiden went on to contest Group races, however, and this extra furlong will suit Ed Dunlop's colt so he's difficult to oppose. Queen Cassiopeia was second at Southwell on her debut but then well beaten at Nottingham while Kodiac Island made no show over C&D earlier this month and is also best watched at present though Austerity Boy and Shakespeare Dancer were even less impressive first time.
Austerity Boy 50-1 (9-3) Held up in rear, under pressure over 3f out, never dangerous, 10th of 13, 21l behind Unex Annigoni (9-3) at Doncaster 7f 3yo mdn (5) sft.
Kodiac Island 25-1 (8-10) Chased leaders over 4f, 9th of 12, 20l behind Hold The Star (9-1) at Wolverhampton 7f mdn stks (5) pol.
Mugazala (IRE) 6-1 (9-0) Prominent, ridden and every chance from over 1f out, lost 2nd post, 3rd of 14, 4 1/2l behind Minidress (9-0) at Newmarket 7f 2yo stks (4) gd in Aug.
Queen Cassiopeia 18-1 (9-0) Tracked leader, effort over 3f out, soon hung left and lost place, 9th of 13, 28l behind Khione (9-0) at Nottingham 1m mdn fll stks (5) gs.
Shakespeare Dancer 33-1 (8-1) Dwelt, detatched, never a factor, last of 9, 20l behind Vivid Blue (8-4) at Southwell 7f mdn auc stks (6) fbs in May.
