led after 1f, soon clear, ridden 2f out, headed close home
soon outpaced
in touch, ridden and kept on one pace approaching final furlong
broke well on inside, outpaced after 2f, ran on final furlong, not trouble leaders
held up, headway 3f out, weakened over 1f out
mid-division, some headway over 2f out, kept on same pace final furlong
in rear, slightly outpaced, strong run approaching final furlong, just failed
Plenty of pace on here and Soaked, from stall seven must have every chance. He could never dominate from his low draw at Nottingham on ground softer than he cares for. He was not knocked around when his chance had gone, and can race here off a lower mark. Branston Pickle, now with Les Eyre, would have a chance on his best form. Dancing Ridge will be better for his run at Haydock, but he is a long standing maiden and while he should reach the frame, it is hard to see him losing his maiden tag in this.
