        Verdict

        Postscript showed good progress last year until well beaten in the Cambridgeshire off today's mark. Newnton Lodge is weighted to reverse last year's running at Sandown with David Simcock's charge but is having his first start since August. Elusive Hawk has been in fine form in lesser company on the Fibresand but is up another 7lb for this while Verse Of Love seems to have gone off the boil after some good efforts on the Polytrack over the winter. Kingscroft finished a close-up third over track and trip in November with MIA'S BOY a place behind but Robert Tart's 5lb claim could give the latter the edge in this and he gets the tentative vote.
