Horseguardsparade put a couple of poor bumper runs behind when creating a 25/1 surprise at Southwell and is now saddled with top weight for his handicap debut. Indira was the same starting price when runner-up at Kempton and has been placed in much better races on Turf. JAN VAN EYCK (NAP) made his all-weather debut at Dundalk last month and beat what looked a decent enough field. He stepped up to a much better handicap a fortnight later and made a bold bid to defy an 8lb rise so this looks within his scope. Desert Recluse has been in consistent form over timber and has won here in the past while Innish Man was well supported for his handicap bow here at the start of the month and duly obliged so he's a threat from just 3lb higher. Next Edition has slipped to a winnable mark while Flying Power is rarely beaten far but but didn't run up to his best form here last time.
