This looks a decent maiden for the time of year with the vote going to CAPE CAY. Ralph Beckett's grey daughter of Cape Cross hasn't run since an unlucky third at Salisbury in June but is unlikely to be short of match-fitness. Last month's Lingfield third Chicago Bere is looking a little exposed but Richard Hannon also runs debutant Kyrenia Castle. Thermal Column, a half-brother to smart stayer Ahzeemah and top-class hurdler Tiger Roll, is another newcomer to note while Oracolo was third at Redcar at the start of the month. Kinnara caught the eye here on debut and is preferred to Rennie Mackintosh of the remainder.
