        Verdict

        Gembari ended last year with a victory over 1m2f at Chelmsford and is 6lb higher today. Knight In Armour also steps up in trip and should be sharper for a recent comeback while BERKSHIRE SPIRIT faded badly close home over today’s distance when sent off favourite on his recent reappearance. But that was on the Fibresand at Southwell and with much better expected on this faster surface, Andrew Balding’s colt gets another chance. Keynote finished closer over 1m4f at Lingfield last time while the likes of Elysees and Dagueneau make their handicap debuts having failed to threaten over shorter trips so far.
