In depth

Verdict

Spinning Ridge is only a couple of pounds higher than when successful at Lingfield earlier this month while Piccolo Express could probably run around here blindfold and looks a better bet than stablemate Just Timmy Marcus. Charles Darwin is well handicapped nowadays but hasn't shown a great deal lately, while Polemica looks vulnerable off this mark and French Art is probably best watched on his first start at this track and has a bit to find with EL LIBERTADOR on Kempton running last month. Jeremy Gask's five-year-old is still a maiden but has gone close on a couple of occasions recently and Kieren Fox's claim will help his cause here.
