      Verdict

Waving arrives in the form of his life having defied a penalty to land a hat-trick at Lingfield a week ago. He has another 6lb extra to cope with here but should be in the mix once again. Strandfield Bay has had only five starts on the Flat despite his age and has been placed in maiden races on the all-weather, while hurdles winner Street Runner is a similar type and went close over 2m here in October. But PINOTAGE found only Singzak too good over track and trip a fortnight ago and Peter Niven's charge rates the selection racing off the same mark, just ahead of recent third Uncle Bernie.
