Lucy Barry is good value for her 7lb claim and partnered the former Dandy Nicholls inmate Spin Again to a narrow victory over this trip at Lingfield earlier in the month. The top weight has 3lb more to carry here but still looks a better bet than stablemate Cut And Thrust. Mr Emirati has been rather disappointing since running the prolific Steed to a short-head in December, however, while Just Timmy Marcus always seems to find at least one too good. Mount Hollow has also proved frustrating to follow but the lightly-weighted pair West Leake and Piccolo Express have been in good form and will probably make their presence felt again. However, there are reasons for thinking that GORDY BEE is well treated on his recent third at Southwell. The faster surface here should suit and, with Andrew Heffernan taking off a valuable 3lb, Richard Guest's five-year-old is taken to finally shed his maiden tag in a tricky finale.
