Alternate Route is now 12lb higher than his earlier win at Lingfield while Hallstatt could only manage third at Newcastle last time having won at the same track in September. Gabrial's Star carries 6lb extra for winning at Southwell last week while Sheriff Of Nawton scored off a similar mark at Carlisle in August and steps up in trip along with ITLAAQ. But the latter ran well over 2m at Newcastle last year and is worth another try having tumbled down the weights subsequently.
