Corniche Dancer, Midnight Lace and Heartsonfire are three against the field in this nursery handicap and the vote is given to Corniche Dancer. The selection looked a winner waiting to happen when fourth behind Forzeen at Lingfield last time. He travelled really well in that race and was only narrowly beaten, but that was his second race in 24 hours and after a short break his compensation could await here. Midnight Lace is a lightly-raced filly and she may be capable of better than she has shown in her four runs to date. She hails from a leading yard and if she takes to the surface on her first try on it, then she could go well. Heartsonfire was disappointing last time at Lingfield, but he had previously run well over this course and distance when second behind Gaudalpin, and if he could reproduce that effort here then he would go close. Dematraf won well on her debut but will find this much tougher, and for the winner we return to Corniche Dancer.
