The in-form Golden Square isn't well drawn so the nomination goes to Hi Spec ahead of Kingsmaite. The selection is having her first run on these shores since joining her current yard from Ireland. She has form to her name on the beach at Laytown and hasn't been entirely disgraced at Dundalk. Furthermore this trainer and jockey combined to score at Southwell on Monday and this appears to be a realistic target. Golden Square was given a fine ride to win at Kempton and has run well here in the past but his draw won't make life easy which also applies to Desert Lover who would have live claims on his best form. Kingsmaite produced a better effort at Southwell on Thursday, he's equally effective here and is respected following that performance but Hi Spec is preferred.
