In depth

Verdict

It was a bit disappointing that PRIORS GOLD come unstuck in a handicap over 2m last time as he'd won his maiden with plenty to spare over 1m6f here before that. Gordon Elliott's charge comes out best at the weights today and is likely to start a short-price to return to winning ways in this company. Herschel hasn't won on the Flat since 2008 and has been in poor form over timber of late, but Dew Reward finished runner-up in a similar event over C&D in August and he should figure. Maslak looks no nearer to ending his losing run and Mujady Star has little chance on today's terms.
