In depth

Verdict

Deep Challenger makes a quick reappearance under a penalty after winning at Southwell on Monday while What Usain is upped 2lb for winning narrowly at Kempton recently. But GULF OF POETS was the most impressive recent winner when landing an apprentices’ race at Pontefract last week and Mick Easterby’s charge is taken to go in again allowed to race off the same mark today. Bosphorus Prince is an unexposed five-year-old making his handicap debut and may figure stepping up in distance for this.
