BARREQ is the call in this race with Playboy Blues and Always Dixie worthy of note. Bryan Smart's team seem in good heart at the moment and though the colt seemed particularly green on debut, he stayed on well enough as the race drew to its climax. There should be more to come. Playboy Blues represents a yard that are respected with their runners in lesser grade. A cheap purchase by the stable's standards, the pedigree suggests that he might be better for a further step up in trip. Always Dixie has the edge of racecourse experience. He had a fair size absence before his run at Southwell but the way in which he flopped suggests that he probably just did not act on the fibresand at all. Silkenveil was not cheap at 95000 pounds and it would be no surprise to see her needing the experience tonight. Thistlestar suggested that she may improve for the step up to seven furlongs from six. Tom Dascombe has had a couple of winners of late so Pomeroy is worth more than just a cursory look in the market. Belles Beau is a full sister to seven furlong scorer, My Mate Max, and as she hails from unfashionable connections, she could be a few points bigger in the market than she should be. Baareq is the pick in a race that should throw up a few winners.
