In depth

Verdict

DESERT CARAVAN was well supported over a mile at Newcastle and was always travelling like a winner. Neither surface nor trip will be a problem and he can defy a penalty. Cathedral Street chased home the long odds-on Junooh over 1m2f at Beverley then appeared to find a mile too short on the Fibresand at Southwell and this isn't much further. White Mountain makes a belated racecourse debut and would greatly enhance her paddock value with a victory as she's a half-sister to the top-class Ribchester. Bustaan is the ninth foal of a mare who has already produced six winners including at Listed and Group 2 level so she's another interesting newcomer.
