In depth

Verdict

Abel Tasman won over 1m6f here a fortnight ago when beating Clifftop Heaven with Robeam further behind. The latter was engaged to run at Carlisle yesterday but Stormy Night also won over 1m6f at this venue before beaten over today’s trip at Chepstow. Wemyss Point won over the marathon 2m5f trip at Pontefract last time while Tinsmith has been thereabouts over today’s trip on the Polytrack. But ROOT SIXTY SIX posted his best effort so far when fourth at Southwell and with plenty of scope for improvement now handicapping so he gets the vote.
