In depth

Verdict

Not a strong race and is a seller in all but name. Fairly High, claimed out of Newmarket seller for ¿6000, has been given a break since losing her way last Autumn. She could bounce back in this week affair, but is probably one to watch, rather than back, while Pooka's Daughter has been kept busy of late, but does come here in good form. The form of her second to Mabel Riley was given a boost when the latter went on to finish second in a similar race to this earlier in the week. The vote goes to Now Then Sophie, who comes from a yard in much better form now. Returning from a break, she turned in a pleasing first effort on the sand when filling the runner-up spot behind runaway winner Vanbrugh at Southwell earlier this month. She is sure to be all the sharper for that outing and is taken to give Derek Shaw another winner.
