Verdict

Captain Kane missed out on a hat-trick when second over a shorter trip here and is 4lb higher today. The latter beat Mutara here earlier but WHITCLIFFE has slipped down the weights and, having found only one too good at Beverley a week ago, the Johnstons’ charge gets the vote. Vaxholm ran well when last over track and trip while Hill Station makes his handicap debut and may finish closer.
