Plenty for whom a case can be made, not least Volturnus if forgiven a desperately poor run at Chelmsford last time when sent off at odds on. Previously, he had routed his field at the same venue by no less than a dozen lengths so it is simply a question of which version of the Osborne inmate turns up. He certainly needs to be kept on the right side. However, CAPTAIN GEORGE houses a more consistent profile and benefited from a tactically astute ride from Mitch Godwin to score here over this trip last month. The combination join forces again and should deliver another solid performance in an open contest. Katie Gale tends to reserve her best for Southwell so Captain Swift and Leoro are nominated as more likely shortlist possibilities.
