      Verdict

      Mark Johnston can land a quick double here with the introduction of BLACK POND. The American-bred Forestry colt cost 190,000 dollars as a yearling and is a half-brother to three winners in the USA including last year's Belmont Stakes hero Drosselmeyer. He should prove too good for both Rich And Reckless, who showed improvement to finish third at Kempton last time, and Freedom Flyer, who is expected to step up on his recent debut effort. Tagansky looks exposed and it's hard to make a case for Osgoodisgood or Bertie Blu Boy.
