Verdict
LEXI'S HERO attempted to make all over 6f here last time but was caught in the closing stages. The winner, Powerful Pierre, was landing a hat trick so the form looks solid enough and Patrick Morris' charge gets the nod dropping back in distance. Solemn will take advantage of his tumble down the weights soon and a visor replaces the more usual blinkers while Never A Quarrel can do better back on this surface after an outing at Goodwood. Dark Lane bounced back over 6f at this track earlier in the month and makes more appeal than recent Nottingham winner Megaleka.
