In depth

Verdict

The Great Gabrial won at Chepstow 10 days ago and has won twice on the Polytrack. He deserves the utmost respect, despite a 7lb higher mark, but AVATAR STAR's narrow victory at Kempton could hardly have worked out any better and Marco Botti's gelding seems to be on an upward curve. A hat-trick beckons with Haydock winner Ambitious Boy yet to prove he stays this far. Fossa and Casa Tua could figure from near the foot of the weights, however, while Burning Dawn should also be thereabouts again despite gaining no respite from the handicapper.
