DAWAHY had been racing over 7f before making all over slightly further here on Friday for which a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent a quick double. Alwajd signalled an imminent victory when runner-up at Southwell and duly obliged at Lingfield for which a 2lb rise looks manageable. Bankawi's four career victories have all been on Turf but he's run well here in the past while Makambe is 9lb lower than his last victory which came on this track last year. Defilade gained his only victory to date on this track almost a year ago.
