A very competitive classified contest may fall to Queen Lucia, with Miss Glory Be and Mugeba put forward as the likely dangers. James Given's filly was backed down to favouritism here last time in a tough handicap. She never really got into the action in that contest but from a decent draw today she should make a bold bid under Richard Quinn. Miss Glory Be beat Sienna Sunset over a slightly longer trip here in November, before chasing home the well handicapped Fisby last time. She still looks very well treated and should manage a place. Mugeba has performed with credit on the turf and is steadily dropping down the handicap following three runs here. She could be getting down to a winning mark so watch this one very closely in the betting market. Smart Scott, runner up at Southwell last time could prove best of the remainder but in a very tricky contest Queen Lucia just edges the decision.
