A difficult handicap for backers with several holding claims including recent Nottingham winner Star of Normandie, the well treated Den's-Joy but the vote goes to Miss Glory Be, who has been freshened up by a two-month break. Star Of Normandie has claims on the form of her Nottingham win but has yet to prove conclusively that she is as effective on the Fibresand, while Den's-Joy has been on the downgrade for the last couple of months. The return to the all-weather may revitalize her but she looks a risky proposition on recent evidence. Chiasso makes her debut in this grade and is difficult to evaluate after just one start in this country. Mick Easterby's Strong Hand had little chance behind the well-handicapped Flowerdrum at Southwell last time and this is a weaker race but a doubt remains about her ability to stay this trip. More interesting could be Mark Brisbourne's Zahunda who won a maiden handicap here in July and is only 1lb higher now. However, Miss Glory Be, who found just Prince Of Gold too good off a 1lb lower mark than today's when last seen in September, has plenty of ticks in the right boxes and looks the safest option.
