Verdict

SONNERIE POWER (NAP) won easily at Lingfield on his handicap debut. He’s been raised a hefty 10lb but the runner-up has won subsequently and Roger Varian’s charge has plenty of scope for further progress. Old Port hasn’t figured since winning at Newmarket in July and headgear is applied while White Moonlight steps up in trip after struggling over a mile at Ascot. Satono Japan is also upped in distance representing last year’s winning yard while Longsider is worth a second glance on his belated reappearance.
