        Verdict

        Milltown Star went close here before scoring at Salisbury and is only penalised 3lb under today’s conditions. Paddy Elliott has been thereabouts over the minimum trip but Max's Thunder finished in front of Chateau Peapod when fourth over 6f at Newbury and makes more appeal. Naseeb looks a likely improver on the back of a modest debut at Thirsk but PORTUGUESEPRINCESS gets the vote to make a winning a start. A sister to a winning sprinter and a half-sister to others, Archie Watson has won two of the previous three renewals and boasts a tremendous strike rate on the all-weather tracks this year with his two-year-olds.
