        Verdict

        A chance is taken with Little Richard, who is selected ahead of Blue Hills and Lady Pilot. The last named is tried in a visor for the first time and, as she has very little to find on the best of her form, she is very capable of making her presence felt in this company. A careful eye on the betting is recommended where she is concerned. Blue Hills gave weight and a beating to the selection when they met here earlier in the month and is an obvious threat once more. He is 1lb worse off today and will really need to be on his game to uphold the form. Especially if Alan Daly makes more use of Little Richard and does not leave him with too much ground to make up near the finish.
