Turaath (IRE) Held in some regard by previous trainer Barry Hills but has clearly had his problems. Not shown much since joining new yard but still the class act potentially in this race.
Stoppes Brow Decent come-from-behind handicapper on his day, and can go well fresh so lack of a recent outing is not too much of a worry. Best form has been at Lingfield, but has run well enough here in the past and very well treated on pick of his form.
Western Command (GER) Four pounds higher for course and distance win last month. Consistent type who has not been disgraced in subsequent efforts and seems sure to play a leading role again here.
Slumbering (IRE) Well beaten behind smart Hail The Chief on all-weather debut at Lingfield. Previously dual winner on soft ground last year, so may prefer this surface and looks a bit of a dark horse here.
El Emel (USA) Ex-German, yet to win over here including over hurdles. Not the easiest horse to assess but overall others are preferred.
Sofisio Both his previous career wins have come at Lingfield when trained by Willie Muir, and has not shown much for new connections.
Arc (IRE) Second on latest start here, well beaten at Southwell since. Consistent sort but has not won for a while and has never won over a trip this far.
Western Ridge (FR) Lightly-raced 4-y-o, who is not easy to assess. Fair second in a maiden here but subsequently well beaten at Lingfield. Not without a chance though.
Joely Green Winner on turf last summmer but has failed to sparkle on the all-weather in three starts this winter.
May I Say (IRE) Still a maiden and hard to recommend, having first run for a long time. Formerly with Peter Harris.
