    Verdict

Solar Deity finished runner-up in last year's renewal and will find this tougher than the conditions race he won here three weeks ago, his first victory since 2013. Godolphin won this with subsequent Winter Derby winner Tryster last year and are represented by RAZOR WIND this time. The latter won at Doncaster last April and may have improved during the interim. Dance Of Fire made all to land a lower grade handicap at Chelmsford just four days ago, with Whispering Warrior behind, and carries a penalty while Mont Ras still looks in need of some respite from the handicapper as he attempts to end a barren spell. Intrude and Jack Of Diamonds need to improve upped in class for this.
