In depth

Formwatch

Goretski (IRE) Prolific winner over the years and may have to settle for this grade in future races; lost nothing in defeat to Mallia last time out and looks sure to run another genuine race again today;perhaps finds 5f on the sharp side these days.

Brandon Rock Never really lived up to the promise of his Sandown maiden win as a two-year-old; trying this grade for the first time and now with a specialist AW trainer so he is not without a chance but he was hugely disappointing on his AW debut in January.

Jawhari Best in on the official ratings and has course and distance form; looks the one to beat today; long absence is a slight concern.

Maron Is slightly inconsistent and even at this level does not look like a serious candidate.

Sounds Lucky Has been running mainly in handicaps and is a course and distance winner; not in the best of form and probably best avoided today.

Wishbone Alley (IRE) Difficult to win with but has claims today on his best form; beaten favourite on last two outings and is trying a trip at which he has disappointed the last two times he tried it.

Daring Gamble Held by Goretski on his only outing so far; entitled to improve but may lack the experience to win today.

Davey's Panacea (IRE) Best effort to date was last time out at Southwell; drop in class should help but he remains a maiden after 12 starts.

Dazzling Quintet Badly out of form and not worthy of respect until returning to the level that saw him win a handicap over this trip at Beverley in June.

Sing For Me (IRE) Unplaced in some poor sellers recently; no real chance although trainer is in form.

Amamackemmush (IRE) Needs to improve on what he has achieved so far to take a hand in the finish.
