Flint River can shade this over Blonde En Blonde and Mufreh in a race that should only concern those three. Flint River gained three wins here in February, but was not over-raced afterwards, only seen out five times on turf before being put back on the all-weather at Lingfield recently. Hugh Morrison¿s charge put in a sterling effort over six furlongs, finishing second despite encountering difficulty in running. He looks well handicapped at present, and back over a more suitable trip, can return to winning ways. Blonde En Blonde in contrast, has never won over seven furlongs, but has been knocking on the door at that distance of late, and is twice a course winner here. Mufreh has topweight to overcome but lines up in form, having won three of his last six starts. The rest are hard to fancy, although Laggan Minstrel¿s duck-eggs disguise his ability, but on the back of that recent effort, it has to be Flint River for us.
