It is one of the oldest cliches in racing to follow a filly in form but time and again the theory pays a decent return. Blonde En Blonde has gone from strength-to-strength in her races of late and the indications from her pedigree are that she can continue to improve over seven furlongs. The only stumbling block could be the questions raised about her temperament after she flashed her tail under pressure in her recent outings. However, she is unlikely to be put under too much stress in this company and Ian Mongan is likely to be sparing with his usage of the whip until well inside the final furlong. Queens Rhapsody was a comfortable winner over course and distance last time out and is taken as the value alternative if the price on Mongan's mount is too prohibitive.
