French has yet to show much aptitude for all-weather racing but was having her first run since July when only beating one home at Newcastle and this is a much a weaker affair. Control Centre won a seller here last year and made a winning start for Marjorie Fife at Hamilton in the summer but has gone downhill since. Jack Blane has every chance on the form book but hasn’t raced over a trip this short since February and has only won once in 19 attempts.
