The Yank had every chance of landing a hat-trick at Chelmsford yesterday and, if successful, would carry a double penalty in this. Toymaker was also due to run in the same race at Chelmsford so VOSNE ROMANEE looks a safer bet. He ran well enough over 1m2f last month on his first start since September and the winning hurdler will be more at home over this extra distance. Medieval Bishop continues to slide down the weights without showing any improvement while Shirls Son Sam has yet to win in 33 starts and Severnwind has not raced since 2013.
