Sidewinder went close again at Lingfield recently while Things Happen finished ahead of Espresso Freddo when runner-up at Southwell and has now placed in five of seven starts. Prufrock returns to 7f after disappointing over shorter and there is little between all of the above on handicap ratings. State Residence, Hart Stopper and Joys Delight are all likely improvers but a chance is taken on Simon Crisford’s newcomer SANCHES, a half-brother to decent handicap sprinters Ballesteros and Seve and perhaps good enough to make a winning start.
