Verdict

In a tricky finale, Blue Quiver is a speculative choice to beat Glendale and Orpen Quest. Con Horgan's five-year-old has shown quite a liking for this Dunstall Park circuit having gone close on two recent visits here. The latest was on the third of December when just half length third behind Barons Spy. A repeat of that effort could be good enough this afternoon. Glendale was in great form back in March but hasn't raced since. If fit on his return he should be involved in the finish. However a more potent threat could be Orpen Quest who has put in two solid efforts recently at Southwell in what appeared to be stronger races than this one. An outsider with a bit of a squeak here is Renegade, but the safest option here could be Blue Quiver, who gets a narrow vote.
