A low grade event where ESPY is only the most tentative of recommendations against Grand Palace and Weet A Surprise. Sylvester Kirk's charge has struggled to get his head in front for some time but if he takes to racing at Wolverhampton he represents a fairly well drawn sort who is likely to be available at decent odds. Grand Palace needs no introduction to regulars at Dunstall Park. The six-year-old was disappointing on his last visit but is a course-and-distance winner. Weet A Surprise has a car park draw to overcome. He put up a good time figure in victory last time out but he will need everything to fall right tonight. Lucky Dan was well fancied prior to his most recent assignment at Thirsk but he will need a career best on a surface when he is 0 from 5. Don Pele has been in the wilderness for some time though he is creeping closer towards an elusive success. Double Carpet is not short of early pace though has a moderate draw. Miss Daawe has become ultra disappointing over five furlongs and the step up in trip has been no surprise to us. Dream Express is a seven-furlong specialist so connections will be hoping that they blast off upfront at a generous tempo. Espy is the pick in a race where it is impossible to be confident about anything.
