      Verdict

Stockpyle escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race at Chepstow last week though his rider was claiming 7lb on that occasion. Smiling Sunflower has been raised 6lb for scoring at Kempton but ETERNAL GLORY was beaten less than a length at Chelmsford last time having won over track and trip in May and the Johnstons’ filly gets the vote. Gidwa returns to his winning trip having landed a double earlier in the year while today’s cheekpieces may bring improvement from Dreaming.
