Our Choice, all the better for a recent run, can outstay the likes of Tranquilizer, Beauchamp Trump, Modaffaa and Desperation to take the honours. Our Choice was successful over two furlongs shorter here in November, landing an amateur riders' event under Emma Littmoden, and was sent off favourite to follow up in a similar contest here five days ago. Lack of a recent outing saw him fade in the straight though, and so he will be fitter here in a bid to put matters right. He was only beaten a neck over two miles at Newcastle in September, so the trip is not a problem, and with up-and-coming James Doyle able to take five-pounds off his back, he should go very close. Tranquilizer has been knocking at the door, having finished runner-up on each of her two latest starts, but her ability to last out two miles is open to question, plus she has gone up in the weights. Beauchamp Trump in contrast has no problems staying and has shown signs of a revival of late, so he has to be considered along with Modaffaa who will be all the better for his belated return third to Newnham here three weeks ago. He is closely matched with Desperation on that run but should have the edge this time. In an open affair, we return to Our Choice as the answer.
