SPINNING RIDGE has plenty of weight but is still reasonably treated despite gaining his 10th success on an artificial surface at Lingfield. He was winning from an 8lb higher mark at this stage last season, doesn't have much to concede in a tight handicap and Gary Phillips' claim is a bonus. Unlimited arrives out of sorts but has dropped to a very fair mark as a consequence but Katmai River has a poor strike-rate and despite his good run at Lingfield is overlooked. He was behind Basle in a seller here last month and the winner has since been beaten in a moderate Lingfield event and though Fleetwoodsands was gaining his seventh Polytrack success at Kempton last month he has a bit more to do in this slightly better race. Daunt looks the main threat as he is now on his lowest-ever mark and will have come on for last month's run here, his first since September.
