In depth

Verdict

Reg Hollinshead does well with his runners here and we will side with Bahamian Lad to get the better of Taken and Neyraan. The selection is relatively exposed but he has been running well here of late and this step-up to 7f could bring about the necessary improvement to see him get his head in front. Taken looks the obvious danger but at the forecast odds we are prepared to take him on. He did shape with plenty of promise at Lingfield last time when a close second behind Parisian Gift but he is not ideally drawn and he will need Jamie Spencer to weave his magic if he is to gain his first success. Neyraan is a filly who hails from a decent family but she has been a bit disappointing on her two starts so far so she looks to have a bit to prove. Infinity Bond is an interesting newcomer and is worth a look in the market, but for the winner we will stick with the consistent Bahamian Lad.
