ANNE OF KIEV really should be good enough to win this maiden but it may be worth taking a chance with Slim Jim Phantom to lower her colours. Human Touch may be best of the rest. James Given has a reasonable record with his runners at this track whilst Tom Queally rides more winners for the yard than anyone else. Slim Jim Phantom is related to a juvenile winner over six furlongs and won't need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut. Anne Of Kiev has upwards of 6lbs in hand on official ratings and really should take all the beating. However, she was been turned over at short odds on each of her last three starts and may not be one to rely on at the likely starting price. That said, it's hard to see too many of the others proving dangerous here as most have been exposed as moderate. Human Touch is her closest rival on official ratings but whether the handicapper's assessment of her form in the French provinces proves accurate remains to be seen. That's why we're prepared to take a chance with a newcomer in the shape of Slim Jim Phantom.
