      Verdict

Faith Jicaro began her handicap career on a mark of 73 in June and is now on 51. She's produced a couple of decent runs here and is no forlorn hope. Dovedon Angel looked ready to win again soon when runner-up to Covert Mission at Kempton as she failed to obtain a clear run at a crucial stage. She looks ready to gain her first success on the all-weather, though today is probably all about MARINO PRINCE. Jim Best's French-bred has been in superb form over timber, completing a hat-trick of victories in just seven days in November, shooting up 22lb in the ratings as a result. He reverts to the Flat on a plater's mark and will be very difficult to beat. Carter has dropped dramatically in the weights and can go well though he's never convinced beyond 1m2f.
