Verdict
Mandarin Spirit is chosen ahead of Regal Raider and Foreplay. Greg Chung's inmate is in good heart at the moment and while there is always the issue of whether he secures a run or not, Oscar Urbina appears to know what to do in the saddle. Regal Raider hadn't ran for a while but scored emphatically over course-and-distance last time out. Foreplay doesn't find a lot when hitting the front but Eddie Ahern worked the oracle last time out. Paul Hanagan is the man for the job this week. Prince Dayjur bids for the hat-trick and it is surely a question of whether the handicapper has got him in his grasp. Charlie Delta has ability but has consented not to show it on this surface as connections search for his correct trip. Purus can front run and may need to from this evening's draw. Mandarin Spirit is running well at present and is offered up as the selection.
