A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Stoic Leader Gilded Cove, and Rosein and the tentative vote is given to Gilded Cove. The selection was a fair third behind Balakiref last time out. That form has since been franked and off the same mark and with the race sure to be run to suit he looks a value bet in an open affair. Stoic Leader rates the main danger on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when third behind Aperitif and for that reason he is opposed. Rosein is another that could go well as he won well last time out when beating Chickadoo but this looks more competitive and his penalty may just find him out. Seneschal and Bahamian Ballet look to be on handy marks and could go well at fair prices but in a race that throws up more questions than answers and where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Gilded Cove.
