In depth

Verdict

BANG ON THE BELL won at Wolverhampton in March and has run two solid races in defeat at Chelmsford and Lingfield since. He was ahead of Music Banner on that first occasion though James Ferguson’s charge will get a chance to re-oppose off better terms today despite winning next time at Chelmsford. Arlecchino's Gift has been much more consistent since he was gelded and is unlikely to be far away while Fristel has served up two fair efforts under this afternoon’s rider, though he continues to search for a first victory on an artificial surface. Bonita B is 2lb lower than when prevailing here in January.
