VERANDAH made a winning start at Kempton in August and wasn’t disgraced when fifth in the Group 3 Prestige Stakes at Goodwood when last in action. The Gosden filly looks the one to beat in this. Adjutant made a winning return in a maiden over a mile at Newbury while Strange Society won over 7f at Newcastle in November having finished in front of Jahaafel on his earlier debut. The latter is overlooked by Jim Crowley in favour of Tajarrob but Worth Waiting looks a bigger threat on her debut second at Newmarket last year.
